The new version of avast review windows is fresh and tidy, with sections for every tool in the suite. The large amount of space on the screen has meant that some features are buried. For instance the homepage includes shortcuts to this run scans or turning on the VPN. There are also links to a few non-essential tools to improve your system. However, most of the features in the program are hidden in the Explore tab. Installation is easy and straightforward and there’s no pressure to upgrade. However, the initial scan will highlight the more complicated issues that need to be resolved by a premium subscription. This is a major issue and one that Which? addressed in its report for 2020.
